Latest News (4th Oct. 2009)

We shall not be competing for at least the rest of 2009 due to current family commitments for both of us.  Once these have been resolved we look forward to returning to the scene.  May we wish all our fellow competitors good luck in the remaining events this year and happy dancing to all sequence dancers.

John & Heather win Classical section of B.D.C event at Whitwick.

On the 3rd August 2008 at Whitwick we won the Classical (Old Time) section of the Inventive Dance competition.

The dance we won with was the Saunter Madiera, the music used was "If I Give My Heart To You" by Bert Kaempfert on the album Love Letters which can be found on the Polydor label.  The music was downloaded from iTunes on the internet.

The dance's name came into being during a holiday on the island of Madeira in October 2007 which is where I started arranging the first 8 bars.  The reason for the delay in performing it was due to being without a partner.

We are thrilled with this win seeing as it was our very first entry in this type of event and look forward to "dipping" our toe into the waters again in the future.
