I have had the experience of a long career in the Classic & Modern Sequence fields.  I started my dancing career at a holiday camp back in 1967 at the age of 12.  Over the following years I took medal tests and then onto competitions where I rose through the ranks, winning numerous trophies on the way.  Here are some of the 30 championships I won with my partner between 1981 & 1982:

  • United Kingdom Amateur Old Time
  • Butlin's National Veleta Competition
  • All England Amateur Old Time
  • East of England Amateur Old Time
  • South of England Amateur Old Time
  • West Midlands Amateur Old Time

N.B. Old Time is now known as Classic Sequence.

I turned Professional in 1983 and in the following years was involved with training pupils of all levels (Juvenile, Junior & Adult) at both medalist and competition levels.  During this time I also won the :

  • East of England Professional Old Time Championship

In 1991 I took time out from dancing for personal reasons.  During this time I kept up my interest in the music of dancing.  In the spring of 2007 I decided to return and therefore re-established my contacts in the business along with the teaching qualifications.
